Resources and materials play a very important part in Hello Kitty Online. The majority of the quests in HKO will make you either collect materials directly or craft/cook stuff from gathered raw materials.
As the game goes on the quests will include less and less informations about resources. You might only be asked for some materials or will even be asked to craft a specific item and will have to search for the related guides and all of the materials listed in this guide by yourself, without any further hints.
While questing through Beijing you will find out that your best tools won't still be good enough for gathering materials/resources at some of the highest-level raw material sources. There won't be any quests telling you to make those tools either. You will have to buy guides for the highest-level tools for yourself and try to find all of the materials required one after another too. This will enable you to first craft one of the tools which you can use to gather materials for the second one, which is then needed to gather stuff for the third tool. Also the wands with the best stats can only be crafted by using guides you can buy and by gathering a large amount of materials therefore without any quest telling you to do so.
